I've got cross drilled/slotted Brembo rotors with EBC Kevlar Brake Pads. They are AWESOME! The holding power of the brakes is so strong, no more brake fade at all. They are strong and bring you down from speed real fast, have actually impressed some passengers with how well the brakes are on my car. Definatly a worthy buy if your looking to upgrade your brakes at all.

they don't. they make blanks which shops take and cnc machine drill/slot. people will say this is unsafe and blah blah blah, but guess how rotor companies make their slotted/drilled rotors...they take blanks and they use a cnc machine to drill and slot them. the only worry you should really have is that if you track your car you will crack the rotors. it seems to be a common belief that for street driven cars drilled/slotted really don't hurt anything. oh one more thing, i don't think brembo makes rotors that fit our rears, blanks or not.

Now a days with todays brake pads corss drilling does nothing! in the olden days the brake pads used to release huge amounts of gases when they heated up and that layer of gas stayed between the brake pad and the rotor, nowadays there is next to no gases being emmited from brake pads.. and thus cross dilling does nothing but makes it look good... it might have a slight amount of cooling but nothing greater than vented disks!

Solted however does have benefits it litterally gets rid of the excess dust on the brake pads surface... I cannot find it right now but there was a pretty good writeup on this a little while back!

My brake rotors are stock sized all around. And my rear rotors are drilled and slotted as well. Brembo all around as well.

Having the slots and drilled holes does help as well. I still notice when I drive my NA that the brakes fade a bit if you keep your foot on them with a decent amount of pressure. And they are all new pads all around. Whereas in my TII I can mash the brakes hard and they grab and hold rock solid all the way till I lock em up as I stop (my ABS does not work right now).

your tii also has 4 piston callipers upfront.. your n/a most likely does not.. this makes a HUGE difference! so will the slotting.. but the cross drilling will not!

i found a good deal with slotted/dimpled rotors here
http://turboimport.com/catalog/rx7_fc3s.htm

i will be going with these

I got told that the Zinc plating does degrade performance but has a nicer look with out the rust.

Aww come on man 165 for two rotors!? Thats not so good of a deal, totally insane, I still think these are overpriced......

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33564

save you some money and get good brake pads like ebc green stuff or hawk, **** with the money you saved you could even get a set of endless brakes and be even cooler. Just a thought.

Does anyone know had type of brakes were on the 88 verts NA?

I'm gonna upgrade to the slotted rotors too. What do you think about PowerSlot rotors?
