creaking in the rear
Anyone ever experience a creaking coming from the rear, seemingly from something having to do with the brakes, but only when they are applied in normal operations. If you lightly hit the brakes, no sound, if you stand on them, no sound. It sounds like either the bushings in the calipers or the bushings in the rear end. It did the same thing last year and I did a brake job, lubricating everything that requires lube, and over the winter, no noise. It has started again since the weather has began to break to warm temps. So basically, when its cold, or wet, no noise. When its warm and dry, noise. I'm sure its got something to do with the rear bushings. And it doesn't make a constant creaking noise, its more like eeh eh eeh eh. As soon as you take off no noise, rolling down the road, no noise, slightly brake, no noise. Any ideas?

I had the same problem, couldnt figure out what it was so I had my g/f crawl back in the back and listen. It ended up being the brackets for the hatchback were loose. Just pop'ed the covers and tightens em on down and no more creaking.

Bump.
I'm having this exact same problem. An annoying creaking/clicking noise. Only happens when brakes are applied normally. The clicking is faster when i brake normally at higher speeds.
only the left rear brake makes the noises.
