Crazy noises coming from pass. side

Hey, I haven't gotten a chance to check the brakes or jack up the car and take a look under it. But my car is making some really funky *** noises. It just started out of nowhere, I was not driving hard or anything. It is coming the front pass. side fender area(I am not sure though, because it dosn't make the sound at idle). Whenever I am going slow and braking, or just going slow it makes scratching and cracking noises like a ****. If I have the steering wheel turned it starts making a bit of a rubbing noise. I have checked in the wheel wells their dosn't appear to be anything caught anywhere. The brakes seem to work fine, and the car runs fine, except for the noises and some other unrelated problems. I don't really know what the problem could be... everything seems ot be working... but I haven't driven it around at anyghing above like 30 kmh coz I don't want to break anything else. Just wandering what you guys think I should be lookin for... or what may be causing the problem.
Thanks,
-Mark

O ya, the front pass, side tire has like 1 cm of play while it is sitting on the ground. I am thinking wheel bearings?

O ya, also forgot, the pass. side window is shorted out or somehting, it goes up like a cm at a time, but pauses quite a bit in between. Goes up a cm or so, waits like 5 seconds(it varies), then goes up again. Automatic windows.

Jack it up, check wheel play, 12/6 and 9/3 o'clock for excessive play. Then pull wheel, and look at brake pads/rotor. Sounds as if brakes are gone. Hopefully if they are gone, rotor isn't shot.

Come on, does anyone else have any other ideas? I will be ripping off the wheels today and getting in there... what should I be looking for?

Not to be smart, but what else do you want people to say....You hear the noise when your driving, going slow and braking...AAAHHH what else could it be, rear muffler?????????? Get in there and look. Can't be a magician through the net. Let us know what you find and if you need more help.

1. Check for twigs and crap stuck in your brake rotor protector thingy.. err.. whatever that thing is called.

2. Jack it up and wiggle the tire around. Up/down and side/side. What happens?? Pay close attention to your ball joint when you do this. Mine was bad and made sounds kinda like that.

3. grab you tie rod and pull back and forth? MOvement?

4. Take your best friend and dect tape him to the hood so his head is in the location and drive around. See if he can find the noise.

5. Ignore it until your tire falls off, brakes fail, or it goes away.

6. Clean your car really good. Clean cars run better.
