Cranks but no spark???

Alright, here is the problem now. I posted another thread and asked if the ecu is switchable between an 88 SE and an 86 GXL because the 88 SE has no spark. Well, We switched them and the 88 SE still has no spark with the 86 GXL ECU in it but the 86 GXL will start with the 88 ECU in it. I am baffled as to what it could be. I was wondering if the Crank angle sensor might be bad on the 88 SE. The guy we bought the cars from said that he had some kid working on it and he thought that the kid might've shorted out something cuz after he got done working on it, it would'nt start any more. Do any of you have any ideas where I should start troubleshooting?

Check that the ENGINE fuse in the interior is good. If good, then go to the lead coil assy. Unplug the small white, two wire connector. See if the BLACK/YELLOW wire has 12v approx on it when the key is to ON. If not, then find out why.

Follow the green dots in the JPG for the path to success.
