Crack on exhaust inlet of factory turbo housing
there is some small hair line cracks around the exhaust inlet of my turbo. Do these affect performance? are they a problem? will my turbo eventually crack more and "fall apart"?
two are outward from the inlet hole and one is across the bridge between the two inlets.

A few small cracks are normal. They are caused by the high exhaust temps. However, if they extend more then about half an inch and look like they might compromise the structure (or cause an exhaust leak) then they might become a problem. It is not recommended to have them welded up. Replace the turbine housing.

Cracks are alright unless they are in danger of causing a piece of the metal to fall off - I've seen it.  JB Weld will NOT hold up under the exhaust heat - you might damage the turbo using that stuff in there.
Once the metal cracks, there is very little chance it'll crack more.  Those cracks are due to stress during casting - they usually crack once and stay like that.
