Question Couple quick questions

Hello all
I am new to the rotory world and so far loving it, bought a 87 GX 170 000KM for 1000.00CND works great except for a few small things, body and running gear is all excellent, hope this was a good price.
Anyways I have a hesitation from about 3800 to 4000, any ideas? I think this is because my front port acuator (not sure if it is the 5th or 6th) is seized, that is this weekends project, could this be causing my hesitation?
also, my heater fan only runs at high, weather the control is on slow or fast?

I have been reading alot on hear and my eyes are going googly, I have found the answers to a few other problems which have saved me alot of time and money or replacing part so thanks everyone for all the great info here. Does anyone have a couple suggestions on these problems?

Thanks

The 3800 RPM hesitation is COMMON. Do a search for the 3800 RPM stumble or something like that. Or just reground your car using the writeup in the archives.

What are your mods? If you are running an open exhaust it might be your 5th and 6th ports not opening.

I did alot more reading after I posted this, and I am going to do some grounding and get the one port acuator that is seized freed up, hopefully this will fix my 3800 hesitation, but I am still stumped on the heater fan problem.

When the aux ports stick, it's usually where the rod goes into the manifold.

If penetrating oil will not loosen it. you may have to pull the rod out to clean it.

I have a mirror site copy of the factory manuals in PDF format at the link in my sig below.
Download & print what you need.

The heater control assembly is notorious for bad solder connections. Remove and resolder the connections on the PC board in back of the control. It can be a bitch to remove so don't tackle this job unless you have a few hours to spare.

thanks, I will check the solders on the controller, is this by chance the same problem with my wipers, only work on slow, but sometimes inter and fast, but not very often, if so is there a description around on taking the wiper switch apart to re solder it?
