counter wieght question

Now I was under the impression you have to swap counter wights when you mix and match flywheels and flex plates. And if you don't your car runs a little odd. I did a 5 speed swap in a S5 auto and left the counter wieght(auto) and bolted the new flywheel to it. IT was a ACT prolite (12.5lbs?) TII flywheel. Now I was told to do so and the light flywheel would be a closer match than a stock TII flywheel. It turned out to work perfectly and I wish some light would be shined upon why.

Hmm, how to put it? Stock flywheels have the CouterWeight built in. If you were to have gone with a stock flywheel, you would have required a series 5. Since the flexplate is separate all you need to do is bolt on the aftermkt FW to your existing CW. Just like you did.
