I had a stock 88 mustang LX 5.0 Fastest car ive ever owned. I still say you shouldnt plan on beating it. Unless the kid cant drive, or only has one leg.

 

Stock 5.0s arent that fast. Plus a lot are in poor mechanical condition. However, I still say this mustang will pwn you. Post up the results dude. Who cares if you lose, its just a for fun race.

Your halfshafts neck doen at a point and break under drag launches, and your front end is too heavy to utilize an IRS in cornering, not to mention it's ****-poor geometry.
