Cost to Rebuild 2nd Gen Engine

Hi, I just wanted to find out how much you guys spend on reubilding your engine, both labor and parts. Also if you could let me know if your seven is NA or Turbo charged, and did you rebuild or did you just purchased a used Japanese unit shipped oversea? Thanks a lot.

Sorry forget to ask if you to include if you have changed from NA to Turbo. What changes needed for Automatic VS Standard. Thanks.

A rebuilt kit is usually 900-1000 dollars. YOu can get rebuilt N/a engines for ~1100 dollars from a forum member on here. A j-spec usually costs around 800-900 dollars from what my friends have told me.

Rebuild costs can range from $1000 to $5000 or more depending on the year, model, damage, options, whether or not the builder does the install, and who the builder is.

I spent like $3000 my first time, but it included almost every upgrade from the Racing Beat catalog you can find.

This included:
competition outer o-ring springs
upgrade OPR
upgrade Torrington bearings
oil pan baffle
FD corner seal springs
oil temp/pressure adapter block
teflon/silicone water jacket o-rings

I did not get the stat gears or bearings.
