Corner seals
Upon opening my engine looking for clues as to compression loss, i notice my corner seals missing a rubber plug (one plug missing per each rotor) The rotors having weak compression on only one face of each rotor this makes sense if that was the problem. What i'm wanting to know is, why would those two plugs disappear?

I think they were never installed! There's no way they can get out once the rotor is assembled. I assume the remaining ones are in reasonable condition (not melted by some chemical applied in an attempt to raise compression?).

They SEEM fine to me, but i've never seen what they look like in good condition. I don't understand who would take the time to rebuild a motor and not put in those seals, i'm baffled.

If it was rebuilt, it was forgotten. They can't just pop out anywhere and even if it over-heated, it would have just melted a bit as I've seen that on a friend's FD motor. Even a motor with high mileage, the corner rubber seal just shows a bit of wear.
Since you have everything out, get the solid corner seals from Atkins as well as the FD corner springs.
