Corksport write up?

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
What sort of write up... its a cat back... maybe takes a hour to do if you got some stuck bolts...
Not to sound sarcastic, but how much more of a write would would it be than:
Jack up car, Remove old bolts, remove old cat back, install new cat back, lower car, find some dumpster or scrap metal guy that you can shove the old cat back in.

I personalywould like your opinion .
How hard was to install it? did all the hookups match with the stock hangers?
How loud ? maybe compared to a single exsaust s2000 or other cars? louder?
does the cap that goes on the exaust exit quiets the exaust? a lot? not so much?
I'm woking on a 1991 non turbo for It-s competition
Thanks

the only thing i would suggest would be use a jack to support the stock exhaust when you unhook it, cuz its heavy.
i have the corksport catback with rb ps and dp and it sounds nice. it is loud i got 94db from 75 feet at the auto-x, so buy the silencler with the exhaust if you ever plan to track the car

yeah i was probably just going to post a sound clip, my problems if any with the install, and an after pic not a full write up. **** the thing didn't even come with instructions so you know it's not hard. I mostyle was asking because i never see anybody with a corksport cat back. I have stock cats aswell for the guys out there that just want to hear the difference of stock and single side exit. Do you guys want a "before" sound clip?or would that be pointless

Before and after soundclip would be sweet, it would eliminate the "well, you dunno how loud it REALLY is unless you are there in person" factor. :-D

i just thought that the stock sound clip would be pointless because.....well who can forget the sound of a second gen...slight pitch change when the secondaries open...mmmmm....oh i need a towel for the drool

id love to hear a sound clip. there are nowhere near enough of them. i'm thinking about replacing my racing beat cat back with a corksport and i have racing beat n/a downpipe and presilencer combo so i'd really like to hear somthing along those lines so i can see the difference.

Ewww....don't replace an RB system with a Corksport! Bleh!
Replace that downpipe with a REAL RB header...get rid of that POS stock exhaust manifold..and you will be happy.
And meh, if your not..save the money of buying the Corksport exhaust, and just take off your RB mufflers, and run open y-pipe/presilencer. NO joke, when I swapped my RB mufflers for my Corksport catback (back when I had a collected exhaust), there was NO difference in sound between open presilencer, and corksport catback. Literally.

the writeup
I grabbed a propane/oxy setup and blew the **** out of the old exhaust.
took off the 5th + 6th ports
took off the acvs
took me a little white using map gas to pop off the heat shield
undid the stock headerbolts
bolted on racing beat header, then racingbeat y pipe and each muff sep.(using rubber hangers and the custom metal one for the y pipe)
I had highflow cat and I made it fit with a mig and some pipe and flanges.
now as for sound, the car sounds more quiet because my old exhaust had 5 holes in it, and I love my racing beats

i just dont like how quiet my racing beat is. do you think with the header on there it would be louder? i also like somthing that sounds a little more like a rotary and not so smooth. i mean i love my racing beats, its just a little quiet for me.

WHAT?!?!?! The rotary engine was made with the idea of it being "smooth" !!!!
A header will increase the DB's a lot.

the power series i got bolts up to my stock cat. It shouldn't be that loud.of course.....I haven't found any sound clips of an na fc with stock cats and a corksport power series cat-back exhaust. I think I'll have to change that
