Corksport v. Bomex

after mounting parts from each of these companies, Bomex is hands down better quality than Corksport. All of the Bomex parts came with pre-drilled holes, and even had washers around each hole so that bolts don't come in contact with the fiberglass. All of the parts fit flawlessly.

The Corksport/Border bumper on the other hand was a different story. There are no mounting holes on it, the top of the bumper interferes with the hood, as well as the headlights. Also, the side of the bumper leaves a 3/4 inch gap between itself and the bottom of the fender. The whole thing needs a decent amount of modification to make it look right. Not impressed at all. Between this and my completely rusted "Stainless Steel" exhaust from Corksport, I think their products leave alot to be desired.

I have heard a lot of things about CS that are bad...I've also heard a couple things that are good, but personally I've never used any of their products. I have heard a lot of good things about Bomex though. Do you have any pics of the car with the new bumpers! Good luck getting the Corksport bumper to look right!

Isn't the CS bumper a replica anyways?of border?

My CS single exhaust is still shiny and good but I'm in AZ where there is no need to salt the roads.

I bought a corksport bumper last may and the fit was terrible. It was about a 1/2 inch short of the end of the fender on the the passenger side and I had to bend the edges of the fender in to get it 2 fit. There were also huge gaps between the fender and the bumper by where the side moldings begin. I ended up molding on the bumper to fill these gaps somewhat cleanly. My car WAS hit in the front once which might be the cause of some of this. Corksport is alright though, never had any customer service problems.

newsflash people, if the corksport stuff doesn't fit then neither does the border stuff...one is an exact mold of the other.
