Corksport discountinued their clear lenses.
As the title says, www.corksport.com discountinued their clear side markers. Now I'm stuck on where to get them, anyone know? I guess I shouldn't have procrastinated so much :P

eww make your own. I'm not ghetto here. There's certain things you customize and plastic clear lenses arent one of em. I dont mind paying 50-100 for a set of them I just can't find any. Why good ridance? You like your car to have clear lenses in the front, yellow on the side, red on the rear?... car looks like a lollipop.

Actually, there is nothing illegal about having ANY lense on your car clear. The color of particular lights DOES apply however.
For instance, the clear "Altezza" brake light assemblies you see are perfectly legal as long as the brakes still light up red (usually done with a red lightbulb or LED) and reverse is white, etc. etc.
The clear side markers are legal as long as the light bulb is functional inside. They are only there to indicate which direction the car is turning. The reason they put two in each corner (front bumper and front fender, rear brake assembly and rear fender marker) is to have a backup in the case of a burnt out bulb.
But, I do agree. Good riddence. I dislike the clear taillights and side markers. I think it makes the car look cheap.

Gene is right.
The DOT has actual specs on light output and impact resistance in case of an accident.
The "DOT" has to be embossed (raised letters) on every exterior lens or else it is technically illegal.
This is how the local cops will nail you for all those Altezza lights or "clear corners" just by looking for the "DOT" on the lenses.
In fact, this also applies to your headlights.

So those clear Altezza rice lights, generally are not legal just because the reflectors are clear, instead of Red
