Corksport Charge (hot) Pipe to BAC hose

We got a CS hot pipe to replace the plastic OEM one which unfortunately suffered a broken BAC nipple. 22 year old brittle plastic; what do you expect?

The BAC nipple on the hot pipe is probably 11-12mm OD and the BAC's nipple is 15mm. But CS supplies a 10mm ID silicone hose to connect the hot pipe to the BAC. I FIPG'd a 5/8" ID hose to the over the CS supplied 10mm ID silicone hose and stretched it over the nipple on the hot pipe with a little lube so it'll work.

But CS is a good supplier so I can't help but think I'm missing something! Any ideas?

You get what you pay for........... Or you have the ingenuity to fabricate something proper and affordable.

Yes I've run across the same problem too. I just bought a CS charge pipe a few days ago and installed it. I looks like a good piece but I see your point on the BAC hose.

I have been trying to solve this issue for ages. It's a real ****-off actually. If you use a silicone hose to connect the two it squeezes it and messing up the idle. At least in my case.

Return it for a refund? Tell them that's why.

I used two seperate hoses, the one that fits the bac slides over the one that fits the nipple. A lightly tightened screw clamp prevents any leaks.

I have an Apexi power intake that has a nipple (of the appropriate size) right behind the afm, I might use that instead once I get my cold air box fabbed up.

I was thinking about getting the CS pipe since my stock one cracked. I ended up getting the stock one. More than double the price but if it lasts another 22 years cool with me Also got a new stock hose

Although used, it might have been roughly $8 at a junk yard.

or get an S4 one, good luck getting that one to fail.

hate it when manufacturers get cheap and make parts from plastic that shouldn't be.

a heat gun and patience works wonders in saving it though. but by the time i get the cars some **** has already tried to pry it off cold and broken it and JB welded it back together(does not work by the way).
