Question cork sport cat back with bonez

does anyone run this set up? and if so, does the bonez race pipe add much to the noise level?

That is a mid-pipe you are refering to?

Yes, of course it will. Anytime you take out anything such as a muffler, cat, or resonator it will add sound.

Bönez 2.5" Race Pipe with Presilencer. Yes, it does add considerable exhaust noise over bone stock especially with an aftermarket perfomance (aka - straight thru design) cat-back.

I have this pipe.. here are my thoughts:

I originally had some craptastic cat-back... it was really shoddy, rusty, and loud.. the midpipe made it very noticably louder, but it wasn't like..."bad"..or anything.. Just at that level where you sorta want to drive it lighter in neighborhoods at 2am...

Since then, I've swapped the catback from my other car.. I have NO idea if it's any brand name at all (i presume not), but the pipes ARE bigger, I can see straight thru the muffler, and it's INFINITELY quieter.. No performance increase from this swap, but ohhh...soo quiet... so nice...

the midpipe did make a noticeable difference, especially DOWN LOW, which suprised me... but hey, i'm not complaining! My 6p's were screwy to begin with, so I doubt they were opening... since then, I've tied them open.

I run the exact setup that you are talking about. It is a little loud but it is definitely barrible. Everyone told me that I would sound like a mach truck sized weedwacker. Well this just proved to me that there are still morons in the world. The sound is throaty and deep and definitely makes the car sound like it has horses below the hood. All you will have to do is find a mech that doesn't give a **** to get it inspected. Oh and the weight distro with the drivers side exit is not even noticeable. I can actually get the car sideways easier than before and can control it more since my cats aren't clogged.

Will a RB downpipe with pre-silencer and a corksport catback give an equally pleasing sound?
