Question Core Charge?

My 88 is seems to be doing OK with 200K on the engine.

I am not sure if it can last another 50K, 100K, or 5 miles.

I do know that the clutch (120K) is getting tired and I should replace it soon.

So, I'm thinking I should go ahead and pull the engine and clutch at the same time, put in a reman, and then take my time to rebuild the original and have it ready for the next time.

The question is, how much would I loose on a core charge if I do not give up my original engine?

That's a good idea. What was it's condition when you opened it? How rebuildable was it?
