omp blockoff question

i have a s5 and when i block off the omp do i have to leave both connectors attached? also where is the reccommended place to mount the pump?

You do have to leave the pump connected, or the ECU will go into limp mode (read, no power mode). Most people ziptie it somewhere convenient and away from the engine (fender area?).

If you're feeling special, you could reverse engineer the pump signals & build a widget to fake the ECU into thinking there's a load there.

i know it has to stay connected, but there are two connectors. Do both of these have to stay connected?
