Hey, How do you tell if the clutch fan is going bad? my s4 keeps running at half way, but yesterday i cought it running a smidgen higher than that... and im teriably afraid of blowing it... Eventualy i wana upgrade to a Koyo Rad, but 250+ is a little much. Also what are other some things that would cause Overheating, so I could go ahead and fix/upgrade them before they have a chance to crap out.

If it only overheats at low speed or when stopped, it's the fan. If it does it cruising at speed or under load, it's not.

If there's nothing wrong with your stock Rad, why upgrade? Isnt that sufficient enough? Use that money for something else
Oh well, do what you'd of course....

 

well, stopped at a friends house and left it running, then when i returned I noticed that it was alittle above the normal mark... so i guess the fan is going... crap!!! will S5 Clutchfans work on an S4? Kinda wish i could get a direct drive fan(nonClutch) so i KNOW there is sufficiant Air going through... i mean, it couldnt take Too much of my cars power to use it...

 

i gotta s4 fan clutch combo, pm me if you want it. a new one is like 190? and a decent electric fan is going to run over 75, id let it go for 65 shipped.
