After installing a aftermarket boost guage and A/F meter i started the car and drove down the block for testing to see if the new items worked. Well they worked, and then the engine backfired, RPMs cut out at 3000rpms and died. I tried starting the car but it wont start...cranks over like it wants to start.

During my investigations with the key on the Ignition ON position my cooling fan would come on and i do not hear my fuel pump (stock) prime. I dont recall ever hearing my fuel pump prime before so i cant really say for sure...but i do know that the cooling fan normally doesnt come on with the key ignition on position. Are they related in some way?
