Coolant seepage...

Last night while doing my TB mod and BAC valve removal i lost a substantial amount of coolant... Well, after i got everything back together i topped her off with some more coolant..
Now there's coolant seeping out around the radiator cap. (thermostat housing)

Here is my question. I think i have air in my coolant system, how do i remove the air? I DO NOT have a coolant overflow tank, i havent had one for about 6 months and never had a problem. SHould i just remove the radiator cap and let the car idle?

-Markus

THANKS... and CHEERs!

That can help get some of the bubbles out. You take a screwdriver and take that out. Then fill the coolant system till coolant comes out of there. Then replace the plug and continue filling.

You REALLY need an overflow bottle man!

see that's my problem i think i overfilled the system. Because the car is cool now, i remove the radiator cap and there's fluid all the way up to there. Ifff i remove the drain plug on the top of the radiator should it go down to the level it needs to be? (ALOT OF COOLANT WILL COME OUT I PRESUME..) DAMNIT; CHEEERS!

Sorry man, I am not trying to scare you.

Lets see.. Put it the easy way.

Engine cold, fill system. Take out the EGI fuses. Leave filler cap off. Crank motor. Lots of water comes out of the neck? Blown seal.

ok, i did it, only a couple drips came out, i took her for a drive up to the mobile mart gas station, (about 10 min) she ran fine there i checked underhood area for leaks or any hissing coolant leak signs.. and i couldnt find any. I think there was just air in the system pheww...
