coolant question searched.

Well acouple days ago, I filled up my radiator and now i check it looks almost empty. I also did the coolant seal check to see if they were gone but there not a leak. The main probelm is today when I let the car idle for about 15 minutes, it filled my coolant resovair to the max and started sphewing out hot mist. Is it possiable I filled it too much?

Also before when I filled up the radiator the water temp gauge was in half when it was idleing then when I rev'ed up the motor to 5k the gauge dropped about 1cm from C, on top of that smoke comes out of my exhaust only on high rev's 6k or so.

But 1 more thing is theres little drips of coolant near the very bottem of my block, Looks like it ran down from behind the water pump pully. But I dought it. By the way the Gauge went all the way to H when I saw mist sphewing out of the resovair.

You probably have a leak somewhere which will explain your coolant levels going down. I would check all hoses, etc. to check where its coming out. Go to the auto store, theres a dye you can put in the coolant, get a black light and find out where the leak is and fix it.

It seems b/c of a leak your having pressure problems which would explain some of these symptoms your having.

I don't know there doesn't seem to be any pressure on the top and bottem rad hoses... I highly doubt i have a clog since when i drove it to the exhaust shop it was perfectly fine. The bouncing of the temp gauge is still the same as i said. -sighz-. When the car was over heating the top radiator hose was filled up like it was about to burst, and the bottem hose didn't feel like it at all. But the car is still leaking coolant. It looks like its coming from the water pump, but i'm not 100% sure. Do you guys think it would be the water pump that is leaking the coolant?

That doesnt sound right, there are no collant passages in the front cover. Unless you are leaking coolant into the oilsystem, check your dipstick/oil for signs of that.

In that area, there a few possible places where you could be leaking and it 'splashing' on the omp. Upper radiator hose to thermostat neck, thermostat housing to water pump flange, water pump weep hole, back of water pump housing

it's only leaking from the front as i can see. doesn't sound right to me also. But question is why would the top rad hose blimp up. Since the radiator is fine since i flushed it with my garden hose. The leak is coming from right behind one of the pullys. I'll keep updating.

Rubber hose can go bad for various reason. just get a new one its cheaper than a toasted motor

Most likely the water pump weep hole, check that out.

The top hose should presurize and be very hot, as it it the return pasted the t stat. Is it a MAZDA T-stat? If not, make sure it is not stuck. Also check/replace the cap with Mazda cap. Cheap way to eliminate those common weak links. Weep hole might be leaking because tstat wont open up enough for good flow, that might also explain why the bottom hose is not pulling in water. If the weep hole is leaking the pump needs to be replaced. BTW the top hose will presurize due to the fact the coolant will expand when heated. The presure also increases the boiling temp. This is all just my opinion for the record. I would get a new pump/T-stat and cap. That will be less that 70 bucks with good parts.
