Coolant passage o-rings, are they jacked?
Basically, I have a minor coolant leak and I am starting to suspect the o-rings between the block and LIM are the culprit. I'm letting the car sit without the UIM for a day or two to see what's going to happen. The coolant leaks down after sitting, and I've noticed two puddles under the UIM, on top of the housings. The scenario I've dreamed up is that the o-rings are leaking, and the oil is seeping up and puddling up, and when the coolant finally leaks down to that level, it stops leaking. Upon further inspection on the rear housing, it appears that the gasket has a small gap which would also explain the coolant seeping up and puddling up.
Any ideas? Does this sound about right? I've read some other posts which seem to confirm my theory. If so, I guess it's time to take my turbo back off for the 15th time to get that LIM off, haha.
Car didn't smoke when I drove it and there aren't any bubbles at the thermo cap when you crank it. So I imagine the internal coolant seals are still fine.

I couldn't figure out where the coolant was leaking. It would not leak to the ground and would puddle up in little pockets above the LIM. When I finally decided to take the LIM I found no o-rings. I also noticed that the gasket was soaking wet.
The previous owner of my TII had a rebuilt put in. The JOE blow shop that put it back together thought it would be a good idea to not use the 2 coolant o-rings even though they charged the man for the parts.
Make sure to buy OEM rings if you replace them.
