coolant leaking from the bell housing

Ok, my buddys car is having some strange coolant leak, it seems to be coming out the bell housing. You know, between the engine and trans.

To me this sounds pretty serious, like a bad seal or cracked rear housing. Any ideas what this could be?

Check the heater hose coming out of the firewall, it could leak down ontop of the trans.

you sure that you checked the line going between the iron and the throttle body? mine split once and made the coolant look like it was coming from around the trans....which it was....lol
