Unhappy Coolant leak....help...(pic)

After driving today I noticed coolant smell. So I checked under the car for leakage....nothing, then I looked around the motor and noticed there is a little puddle of coolant right above the LIM. Is it because of the Water-Jacket O-rings? if it is, what steps should I take? It seems like this is a very common problem with FCs, maybe there is a write up somewhere....

Thanks for all the help.

Is it a turbo car? If so it may be the o-rings going through the manifold, NAs do not have this though, at least not S4s, pretty sure S5s dont either though.

Check the back of your water pump housing too.

Yeah it's a TII...

The back of the water pump housing is ok, not really any wetness there....

It's the o-rings for your lower intake manifold, they seal the lower intake to the engine block. They let the coolant flow threw the intake then out to your turbo. I had that same leak and replaced the o-rings and it fixed it. It is common on the t2's.

thanks for the info, i believe that's what it is. well...looks like I got work to do, you think I would need to take off the turbo to get to the lower intake manifold? or there is a easier way to do this....
