Exclamation coolant leak..HELP..or the engine will die..:(

Alrite, i was under my car about 15 min ago (ramps) and i was checkin out my horrible exhaust condition (holes and broken gaskets..thats why i was askin earlier about headers ) so..i was under there and i saw a drip of green liquid on the bottom of the tranny...furthermore..yesterday my add coolant light came on and the **** was empty...even the resevior was empty (i dont even know how it can BE empty when i fill it up to the fill mark all the time).

What possible hoses might be faulty which are behind the engine/near. I dont want my car to overheat..save a rotary!

thanks..
Jeff

check ur heater hoses and the most feared hose under the upper intake manifold. (i would check that last cause it's hella hard to get to) but there is a heater hose ryte next to your oil press. sensor. inspect it and your heater core too (inside the cockpit under the dash) you can also check the return lines that come out you firwall on your passenger side more tword the center. if you have a manual look under cooling systems and just check every hose they outline

If you have a 86-88, check the hose above the spark plugs

ive been looking over it for a while..are there any hoses that travel over top of the transmission about as far back as the shifter? the closest ones i found were the heater in (long one which winds behind the engine and under the spark plugs) and the heater out (the one from the firewall...turns into metal piping...then goes to radiator). are there any hoses actually INSIDE the car (on drivers side of the firewall) that could be leaking and finding their way onto the transmission? should i turn the car on and try to find areas which leak (i dont have a pressure tester). i didnt see any on top of the bell housing, only underneith (from engine bay).

check your heater hoses, radiator hoses. and top and bottom fo the radiator. and heater coil. If its not that I would put in some stop leak to make shure.

the fastest way to find the leak is to find some one
with a radiator pressure tester.
pressure up cooling system and you will find the leak.

the closest hoses to the top of the tranny that i can think of is the heater in line and the hose that goes to your thermal wax thingy. (the one that everyone hates like bin laden) it's goin to be a bitch to check that one. i think it's a good idea to get a pressure tester

can you have a leak but cant find it becuase it might be so small (hairpin leak)...i ran over the heater inline and i didnt feel any liquid, and the thermowax doesnt seem to have any either..and i cant see any on top of the tranny. i bought an inline hose for the heater..but i havent taken it out of the package yet until i determin that that is where the leak is. There are NO hoses that go behind the bell housing and if a hose was leaky inside the firewall, there would be no way it could find its way to the transmission...-_- i drive it still..but im getting really paranoid.
