Coolant Jug/ return line?

ok, I have the 1986 MAzda Rx-7, No turbo. I just put a rebuilt water pump on and new gaskets. I got everything put together. Im just waiting on getting another drain plug. But there is this jug container that sits along the driver side fender. On the side of the jug it says "Low" at the bottom and "Full" towards the middle. There is a cap on top that had a molded pipe that goes inside the jug all the way to the bottom of the jug, then there is another molded pipe that comes out the side of the cap outside that connects to the rubber hose which leads to the water neck. So does the engine suck and poor collant through that one hose or something? cuz ive seen on some cars, there would be a return line at the bottom of the jug and then another line on top...so wtf? someone explain this. cuz i will be super pissed if my car still over heats after all this work. it shuldnt thoe cuz i noticed water leaking, and my dad said the weep hole looked bad on the old water pump.

your car is fine, thats how it should be. There is not line from the bottom and it does suck/blow water though that hose. And yes, the water pump leaks out of the side when its shot.
