converting from 2 seater to 2+2 possible?

hi. i have one of the 2 seater rx7s, but it would be really nice to add the two rear seats just for when i have more people that need a ride or something.... i realize that they're not good for long trips lol..... but how hard is it to convert to the 2+2? just wondering when i found these for sale

http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/car/541473724.html

i dont mean to rain on everyone's parade, but did you register the car with insurence and paperwork as a 4 seater. god forbid you get into an accident and need to make a claim...insurence will be damn curious as to how someone was injured in the rear seat of a 2 seater car.

be careful man. the rear seats look awsome, but i wouldn't put anyone in them.

You might could fit a chihuahua back there, if it was still pretty young. Still I would never give them up, something about the pristine 20yr old black leather. (new condition due to the fact that no fool would ever attempt to sit back there)

Insurance for my car, $ 31.00 a month. Liability. Secondary car though.

exaggerating a little bit. My girlfriend actually rode back there about 3 years ago. She is about 5,5 110lbs and had to sit sideways.

LOL

Jesus! well it's a good place to put **** in... they are glove boxes as buckets...

Anyways, say it was my first car, 4 seater, coupe... How much do you think it would cost for insurance? Monthly.

Im not sure right off hand. Im guessing your what, 16, 17?. Would the car be in your name, or a parents?

....... If it was in say your dads name, he could classify it as a secondary, and on top of that get a multi-car discount which would make his, his wifes, and your insurance cheaper.

Rough Estimate $ 80-120.00

I basically went through every loop-hole and back door to get $31.00 a month. Nationwide insurance. "classic car" according to their intel.

The rear seats bolt in easily. Search forum for more info. "2+2", "rear seats" etc.

Ive thought about putting rear seats in my convertible not so much so other ppl can sit in them b/c i know there isnt enough room but just to have them there. And whenever i put something behind the front seats, havent decided what yet, i want it to be hidden away. Im sure there is a way to put them in a convertible but i dont like how the seats r soo sunk in. I want it to be like a normal seat.

There really isnt any room. The only reason i would want them is to cover subs or whatever up but it doesnt seem worth it. Sean i kinda remember u sending me a picture but im not sure. Send it to me again to refresh my memory please.

Its not really all the small, i have had 4 people in my car sitting fine, we rode from hobbs,nm, to lubbock, tx without a complain at all and one of the guys is 6'4, and the other is 5'10 but pretty big around the waist and i was fine.

The only thing i cant figure out is where do the person's legs go that sit in the back seat? I dont sit with my seat all the way back but there still isnt any room for back there. Idk though. It would be nice to have them though. Just in case.

Yeah, the search feature on this site is terrible. Use google. It indexes rx7clubs pages better than rx7club does.
