Convertible top structure lubrication points
Convertible top structure lubrication points
My 1990 vert groans as it goes down. When I am rising the top, not a peep. It just started doing this a few days back. Since I have had it (4 years or so) it has never done this and always (currently) performs smoothly when in motion. It just makes a groaning noise, like it is having a hard time moving (but it seems to be moving at the same speed as it always has). Other than this, it works as it should - or at least as I understand it to work. I am hoping someone has some advice and that it is just a matter of lubrication joints/pivot points. If so, recommended grease? I looked in my shop manual and didn't see anything about lubricating the vert parts, but that doesn't mean I didn't miss something.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
