convertible carpet set

Does anyone know where I can get a carpet set for a '91 vert? Is there such a thing as a replacement set for the verts?

Thanks in advance.

Try these. However, it is my understanding that carpets for a vert are nearly impossible to find. Mazda may still have some but the price is atrocious.

ive heard the same about mazda. i heard someone with a s5 vert got a replacement set for the spare tire cover(whatever you call it) for like 1200 bucks or something ridculous like that. try giving victoria british a call or try their website if its not victoriabritish.com just search yahoo for them. they might have a vert set and they have pretty good prices. infact im getting a new top for my vert from them soon.

I work at 1aauto. They don't carry the convertible version of the carpet set. I don't know how different the passenger area carpet is though. It could be that Auto Custom Carpets (the guys who actually make the carpets) just don't have a convertible floorpan to make sure it's the same. I'd be interested if anybody knows whether it is the same or not. For those willing to be adventurous, you can buy the passenger area only for around $150 I think (i'm not at work right now, but the complete set is just over $200 so...). You can email me at gcoe@1aauto.com if you're interested.

As covered a couple of times, no one makes a carpet kit for the verts.

The coupe kit can be used, however the carpet will not lay down correctly behind the seats, as the coupes do not have the added structural metal that the convertibles have behind the seats.

I need a new one for the vert so I will just pull the seats and have a custom shop do it. I would expect to pay 300 installed

No one will see the carpet back there anyway. I have to pull my seat forward and look down there just remind myself there is carpet there. Do you have to pull the old carpet out in the first place? Just replace the front and be done with it.

Probably have to go to a custom upholstery shop. Is your old carpet ragged or just the wrong color?

If the wrong color (or faded), you can just dye it... If it's trashed, well that's a different story.
