Convert conversion with a TII

I have an 88 convertible and an 88 TII. I want to change over all the TII running gear to the convertible. Is there a difference in the hubs on the convertible and the TII?

The hubs are the same the only thing different is that the vert had 15 in BBS rims and the TII has 16 in rims.

So besides the engine stuff I will need to change transmission, driveshaft, rearend and half shafts. I also for starters way just going to use the stock TII struts and springs and sway bars. Was any of this stuff upgraded from the factory because of the added weight of the convert?

Does anybody know a website that has some good info for this conversion?

Hmmm...Why is it neccesary to take out the main harness behind the dash for an 87t2 to convert conversion--does the connector not fit in the ECU?

If you check the factory manuals you'll see that the wires going into the ECU go to different sensors, etc.

I would swap the entire rear subframe... it's easier that way. Keep the convertible springs... stiffer. The TII swaybar is stiffer than the 'vert one... it will make the car understeer less (or perhaps oversteer...) Your choice on which of those to use... The 'vert has more weight in the rear.

A couple of small things you won't want to overlook... it would be frustrating to get to them and then have to look for parts.

The TII clutch slave cylinder is different. So is the starter.

Rumor has it that the 'vert ECU is already mapped for turbo- I can't confirm this, but it makes sense, as the 'vert has it's own ecu and everywhere else has a turbo 'vert.

Yes, the N338 ECU will work with an 1986-1988 Turbo II engine and harness - we've confirm this.&nbsp Credit goes to Donnie Peters of Sun Auto for telling us this...
