Confused
I have a 1987 mazda rx-7 turbo it has 107,000 miles, I bought it because I thought I could fix it, but I am stuck because I dont know what 2 do know. I put a new fuel pump, starter, fuel injectors, NGK spark plugs, and a complete tune up. When i go to start it the motor turns but it never trys to turnover. I give it gas but it is useless. It is getting fuel and it is firing so I dont know what is it could be wrong with it.
I also checked all my fuses inside the car and in the hood. It has been sitting in my back ward for a while too, im trying to fix it so I can start driving it so please can anyone help me find out what it is wrong with it.

does the engine have good compression on all 3 faces? make sure to remove the check valve in the comp gage to witness 3 bounces. Less than 80psi or more than a 20psi differintial between faces is bad.
does it smell like fuel? are the plugs wet when you remove them? it is not uncommon for these cars to flood. They are a little more diffucult to un-flood than a normal car. I havent done this in a while but this shoudl do it:
1) Remove inner most fuse from large block under hood on drivers side. EGI or something. This should disable fuel and spark. Check that spark is disabled the following steps will produce fuel/air mixture vey apt to ignite...not good
2) Remove both lower plugs.
3) Hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank until the fuel mist seem to subside. Usally 30sec. or so. Be careful not to have ignition sources for this mixture.
4) Use a clear (or not if your daring) piece of ~1/4 tubing and suck up "a foot or two" of ATF or oil. Blow this into the lower holes and re-install the plgs.
5) Insert the fuse and crank normally, no gas.
In some instances this must be repeated once or twice.
Good luck,
Justin
