hi im joe i have an 87 na with 169k. Today I started the 7 and a friend listened to my exhaust while i revved. He said you can hear a rattling so I had him rev and it sounded like small metal in the exhaust rattling or maybe a gasket Im not sure.

Before all this i did a listen test the front rotor hiss's 3 times good but the rear rotor doesn't hiss, I could feel puffs from the spark hole all 3 puffs seemed to have an equal amount of pressure. it just didn't hiss like the front rotor, since I got the car i had confidence in the front rotor more cuz i knew the rear has a small oil leak one time i checked the sparks plugs and the rear sparks had a little oil on them


is the no hiss bad? lol
maybe i killed it...damn winter

from what you described, it sounds like you lost one seal, taking out the others and now you have no compression. Get a tester and give it a try. Hope it works out for you.

 

yeah i deff need to test it. i dont think its totally blown cuz i dont hear any rattling on idol. well there is also hesitation when i want to rev it it will rev to the max but it takes longer..maybe fuel filter or converters. thanks for replying
