Cold Startup question, after warmup, 90 FC3C, idle hunts, then finds!

Kinda posted something similiar before, but title says it all. Startup normal, the higher rpm 16-18 second "rotary choke", then gradually comes down, then now its really starting to hunt for idle. If I let the girl continue on, after about 5-6 minutes, no more hunting, and idles consistantly around 800. After driving, come to stop sign, or light, in 1st gear same situation, then smooths out. Put in 2-5 at stop, no hunting.

Ideas? TPS ad idle is fine, BAC, thermowax, TB plates, etc , etc, all test fine. Now TPS on wot is "shot" but that shouldn't affect idle, right? All suggestions appreciated.

If the TPS goes open or drops out at WOT, you might want to start looking for a replacement.
It is close to gone, but you're right - it's probably not the idle problem.

Next check the BAC connector contacts.
Then pull & clean the BAC internal valve. It gan get gummed up.

check grounds if you havent already. when i changed my clutch i accidentally knocked off a block to chassis ground that grounded right next to the wiper motor on the firewall and it did all kinds of weird stuff, so i wouldnt rule out a ground

I'll check the BAC, and give it a cleaning. I didn't attempt the clutch swap yet, but I will defintely check the grounds again. I did clean them not to long ago, but will check again. I have read several post on bad solder point on ECU, could that maybe cause this. Its really strange, cause it happens intermittently, not all the time.
