Cold idle issue

Cold idle issue
Ok so I have probably posted a thread on this before but never got a definite answer but now that I have had more time to drive the car I found more symptoms..not idea if they were their before, which they probably were.
Anyway here is the issue..
On a cold start (car has been sitting for several hours or more and temperature is as low as it can get) when I first start the car if I let my foot off the clutch it stalls and I have to start it back up again and hold my foot on the clutch to keep it running.
Also, after a minute or so the idle starts to bounce. Without the clutch depressed the car will rev about 500rpm higher than idle and drop back down...almost like someone is revving the car and letting off the gas while stopped. With the clutch pedal depressed it is less dramatic..like 100 or so RPM.
Once the car is warmed up however it runs perfectly fine. No bouncy idle, no stalls...at operating temp it seems to run as if nothing is wrong.
Any ideas? I am probably going to take a car to a shop since I don't really have the time to take care of it at the moment between school and work but if I can get an idea I could at least try and get an idea of how much it could cost to fix.
Thanks in advance! and sorry if I am beating a dead horse with this one :P
Oh and FYI I live in SoCal..it's been farily cold (for us anyway) the last couple weeks but nothing below about 45 degrees outside.

mine is doing the same thing. mine is a 1990 gtu n/a. but ive been told that it could be the ecu, vacuum lines, grounds, tps, or needs a tune up. but if anyone could clear this up for me too that would be great. the car runs perfect wile its running and moving just a rough idle and would like to fix it.
