No point in alum tubing... its not like there is anywhere to put it unless you cut holes and you wouldn't want to replace the main plastic intake tube with a metal that gets heat soaked and is right above the exhaust.

VinSpeed (search this Forum) makes a cold air box if you're interested.

Yeah a cold air box is the only way to go, but I think that Michelob was looking for some racer honda cold air tube, and doesn't understand how the intake on a FC works

So then will using say...the Racing Beat Headlight Cover Duct work with this? because I've seen a couple threads saying that you have to cut through the frame and blah blah blah. How is the GregW (www.teamfc3s.org member) headlight cover ducts different? Do you need to do the same modifications as other Headlight Ducts? Dont mean to hijack, usefull info for Michelob779 aswell.

The VinSpeed design is made to work the the GregW headlight duct. It says that on the page. But the general idea is that the headlight duct doesn't work the way it would make it worth the $$.

Of what I read, search "Headlight duct" or "Headlight scoop", the thread of speaking of is maybe a week old?

Bump. Wanna know if using a Mariah with piping running back to the stock intake part right on top of the rad. fan shroud would be best.

I doubt it would make a difference. And the Mariah kit is around $250 with a filter !. You can buy a 3" adapter from HiGGi for $30, a universal 3" K&N for another $45. And then the VinSpeed for $60.

Which both of them do the same thing. And last I checked, you can't order the Mariah kit. I tried some time ago before I found the VinSpeed box, which works fine.

Alright I do app. the reply. But heres the thing...the VinSpeed is built to go with that headlight duct. Im not gonna run the headlight duct..nor the Mariah kit. All I'd get is the Mariah box. So should I run some piping from the box to the stock intake piping on top of the fan shroud, or run it to somewhere else?

The headlight duct doesn't make a difference fyi. The Mariah box should just be fine all but itself (with a cone filter installed of course, only way it'll work).

what about the honduh swap. Check this out, If is my DIY favorite for intake.

As long as you don't mind washing your own windshield.
IMO the key is the heat wrap, which it could of used more of. Maybe even the intake sleaves summit has, but they are spendy.
