depends on what your looking for. if your looking to track your car, i def recommend stance. as far as daily driving it or smooth ride, i would consider tein's entire line. give me a price range and ill let you know what you should look at.

If you care about looks and stance, just get megan, stance, max, d2, tein basics.

If you really care about performance and can actually drive to a high level, (as in you've had training), and have over $1500 - $1700, tein flex is a good place to start.

I track my car on Tein Flex and they've been very good so far. I'd disagree with what was posted above about Stance being better for the track. They cannot be rebuilt or re-vavled AFAIK, which means if you want to change your spring rates by very much or want different valving, well you're pretty much hosed and will need to buy something else. This is a HUGE consideration for hardcore track users.

For the street just about anything will work, but one thing I'd suggest you do is look for high milage users and reports of premature failure. You don't want your $1000+ purchase being junk within a year or two. Also, being servicable in North America is huge, some coilovers require you to ship them back to Japan, seriously increasing cost and time.

tein flex are garbage. they are "flexes" because the piston shaft actually flex. i have seen them bow. if u want teins then get the super drifts and get some tophats/camber plates to fit your fc.

but hey thats just my opinion.

Your opinion is ill-informed. They are called Flex because they can fulfill more than one role - i.e. both track and street, not because the piston shaft flexes. All shafts will flex if subjected to enough torque.

They perform extremely well on my 220 rwhp Miata, on the street, in autocross and on the track. A senior instructor at the track school this summer commented that he wished his BMW M3 turned in as well as my car. I know many people running Flexes and all are extremely happy with them. Of course, most of those people can also find the shift key on their keyboards.....

come on guys!
we all joined this forum so that we could talk to other fc owners.. now lets not make fun of eachother! everybody has their own opinion on what they like best. we are all in different situations so we reqire different things. i myself am only 17, so i have to make sure i can afford parts, thats why i said megans and d2's are good. other people can afford better parts so they make fun of the cheaper ones..

Oh! consrx7!..
one of the reasons i said to get d2's is a buddy of mine bought his for his s13 from the same site i showed you.. haha we both drift and drifting breaks parts, he hit a curb really hard and snaped the strut. he sent it back to d2 and got a new one for only $60!! haha he didn't even buy them directly from them and they still did that!

and i know pleanty of people with Megans and there amazing, nobody i know has ever had any problems with them at all

I wouldn't call them amazing, just better than 20 year old stock suspension.

I have Ksports. They ride pretty stiff but seem to be well damped. I havent explored their full range of dampening adjustability but I keep them in the middle of their range and it rides decent, firmer than factory, but not bouncy.

You do realize that the Flex and the Super Drifts are the same coilovers with different rates, right?

I've read people give reports after 30,000 miles saying that their Flexes are still going strong. That's pretty good given the fact that lots of the cheap KSport, D2, Megan etc will probably blow in a couple years.

I wouldn't buy them.
