try changinging the master cylinder WHENEVER you change the slave. along with bleeding the system and replacing the fluid. check for air/bubbles.

what do you mean by clutch doesnt disengage? does it not come out of gear when you push the clutch in? your master cylinder might be letting air by causing your clutch not to work this just happened to a friend yesterday.

Even when I use one of those tools for bleeding brakes or clutches, I still end up doing it manually at the end. Those things are better for changing fluid, but not as good as getting everyt big or air out.

Are you noticicing this problem right after u just had your clutch installed?

It sounds like a bad pilot bearing. Did you install a Pilot Bearing Seal?

Sometimes Pilot bearings go bad during installation due to the force used to put the transmission in.

not exactly off topic...
I am about to do my master and slave cylinders as well, but can't find part number for the fluid.

Any recommendation for the fluid??

Oh..btw..
My tranny is doing the same thing... sometime hard to put it into gear...and sometime hard to get to neutral (stuck in gear). I checked my fluid...and its dark, so its time to change the cylinders.

Did your clutch pedal sometime stuck (didnt sprung back up) after you depress it??

Dot 3 or 4 brake fluid. Can be found anywhere where car parts are sold.

That is the exact reason your clutch is not working.
