clutch slipping ?
alright here's my problem.....
i put in a new oem clutch and pp about 3k miles ago and everytime boost kicks in (about 7psi) between 3.5k and 4.5k rpm, the clutch would slip...after 5k rpm, it's fine....what gives? any thoughts?

Damn.....I feel your pain! I replaced all the bearings, seals, pressure plate, flywheel, clutch hydraulics, clutch disc, and even new transmission mounts. I used factory original parts from Mazdacomp. . I spent a fortune and it started slipping after a couple of months on my mildly modified TII. When I pulled it back apart I found a buildup of what looked like grease on the clutch disc. I was very careful and everything was spotlessly clean....I have yet to figure out where it came from. I put another new PP (ACT this time, 30% higher pressure) and another new factory clutch disc. All is well for the last 6 months or so. Sorry to hear your story....you might try rinsing the clutch disc with brake cleaner through the inspection plate. If you rotate and do it with the disc disengaged you might be able to rinse off the grease if your problem is similar to mine.

I totally understand the frustration of dealing with a slipping clutch. It can really put a damper on the driving experience, especially when you're dealing with boost and those crucial RPM ranges.
In my own experience, I had a similar issue with my truck a while back. It was quite a headache trying to diagnose the problem and find a solution. I tried a few DIY fixes, but the slipping persisted.
Eventually, I decided to seek professional help, and that's when I discovered the local hourly movers. They not only assisted me with my move but also gave me some valuable insights into the potential causes of the clutch slipping.
