Clutch slave cylinder issue

Mine's leaking, found it out today when I lost all fluid. I didn't know what it was at first after i forced it into reverse, got out of my drive way and got up to 4th and my clutch wasn't coming out so i took it out of 4th and all gears grinded. I got air in my tranny but I have fluid in and it's running.

But my issue is now, when driving, I hear a ******* weird *** sound. It sounds like a baseball card in the spokes of a bike tire. I only hear it when accelerating and it even sounds like it's coming from inside of my car. If I let off the accelerator, it's gone.

I'm uber confused.

Uh...so you haven't fixed this yet? If you check the archives, there is a step by step picture how to rebuilt your master/slave clutch cylinder. Parts are like $20...I'd suggest doing this.

The noise you are describing almost sounds like an exhaust leak to me.

i had the same problem... at first i thought it was my master because i saw a little leak pattern going down and had it rebuilt after buying the kit. then found out it was my slave, **** was leaking everywhere. also if your slave is leaking and you lost all fluid. you better replace the slave or rebuild it, then bleed it. it'll fix your problem and you'll be able to shift without shift lock. rebuild should be about $10-$12 and a new slave is about $49-$55 plus 2-3 days shipping.

i drove it around leaking but it kept shift locking. it was bad, i had to pump the clutch pedal and get that pressure going. another thing is dont force it to shift into gear or you'll grind all them gears.

another add, replace or rebuild both while your at it.

also another thing, your cylinders are linked together to you clutch pedal but nothing into the tranny. i doubt you have air in the tranny.

Of course he has air in the transmission.
That would be normal.

A vacuum in the tranny, now that might be an issue,

I know how to fix, I ordered the stuff, it'll be in Tuesday.

I'm concerned about the sound I hear. I'm wondering what it is. My buddy said clutch fork, I'm wondering what some other people might think it is.
