Clutch problems

The pedal sticks to the floor, i pulled the master cylinder out and when i press the plunger down with a screw driver it shoots fluid, and returns but after a few squirts it will no longer fill up and continue squirting.

should i disassemble it and clean it out? it does not leak anywhere, i even tried adjusting the pedals plunger travel.. and attempted to bleed it. it did nothing to get the firmness back.

the fluid level never changes, it does not increase nor decrease in the cup

It might be the slave cylinder, I had the same problem and when I replaced the slave it went away.

Mine wasnt leaking when I replaced it, however the problem was solved. I think its a mechanical failure not just a leak.

You should just change both while you're at it. The whole project is less than $100 depending on where you buy the parts. Make sure you check the rubber clutch line for deterioration as well.

Mine was doing just that. Replace or rebuild the cluch master cylinder. The fluid is bypassing the piston seal inside. No, the slave cylinder is not leaking. I replaced the clutch master cylinder with a new one from Mazdatrix. Works great. $52.00.

Meh I would replace the master and slave cyl. throw in that nice stainless steel clutch line from mazdatrix too.

once one goes the other is right behind it and you save time and money in the end. You also get piece of mind knowing your hydrolics are legit.

Picked up a slave from carquest for 7$, still the same problem.

I had my brother get inside the car and pump the pedal hard by hand.. tiny tiny bubbles were coming from the MC, its shot

at least a new one was only 17$, i got a new stainless flex line for $10

Having friends work at autoparts stores saves you money
