clutch pedal sticks to floor after clutch swap
i did not undo unhook any hydrolics, but the slave will not return or its not getting enough throw... i dont know, everything is hooked up, but i got nothing, cant shift or anything. the car is still on jackstands and teres a jack still under the tranny, btu that shouldnt have any effect.
if bleeding doesn't work...then my money is on the throwout bearing not seated properly or the slave cylinder piston is out
does the pedal disengage the clutch?
does the pedal disengage the clutch?

no it does not, you guys are seeing this the wrong way, the hydrolics do their part, but the return pressure isnt there. the clutch fork cant disengage the clutch.
i put a screw in the slave that is slightly longer than the old bar and got a small amount of pressure at the bottom of the floor.

The "return pressure" isn't there because its not bled properly. You introduced some air into the system somehow even though you didn't disconnect any lines. This can happen it the slave's piston comes out too far when its off the tranny, if you touch the pedal while the slave is off the tranny....many ways.
A clutch system with air in it will allow the clutch pedal to go down (and in cases wit ha minor bit of air, it will move the slave slightly) but the pdeal will not return up until you lift it. This is exactly what you're describing unless I'm missing something.
Bleed the clutch master/slave.

I got the same problem when I first got my 89 rx7 GXL. While I was driving to 15 min. away from my house in a hot summer. I could felt the heat, which came out from the shift, its temperature is higher than a normal car. I stopped at one place after the 15 min. driving. Then I pushed the clutch all the way down to the floor and it's stick. It felt like no pressure and car shut down, suddenly. And then, I started the engine again, it worked.
Your clutch disc and thrust bearing must be aligned properly for the transmission's input shaft to slide in nicely. Check if the clips on the throwout bearing are not chipped. Apply pressure on the shift fork back and forth from the slave cylinder, if clutch fluid spits from the slave cylinder then your slave cyl is working fine. Check the hoses if their clean and nothing is restricting it. And finally bleed the system.
