And that is exactly why you should replace all three components of the system at the same time and be done with it.
Your default position should be that every system in the car is falling apart and will require total overhaul.
Each second you spend chasing this clutch issue is time your car is using to spring a new surprise on you.
Partially repairing a problem means you'll forever be chasing behind failures instead of getting ahead of them.

It's also useful to remember that your car gives nary a **** about your financial situation, It wants what it wants, when it wants it and your ability to provide is not even a consideration.
This is not a rotary or Mazda phenomenon, it's just how old cars are.
