clutch pedal/master cylinder issues

doing auto to manual swap. bought brake/clutch pedal needed and went to order a master cylinder. my clutch pedal has no "rod" or anything that looks like it will engage the master cylinder through the firewall. does the rod come with the master cylinder or is my pedal missing the rod. frankly, i'm not sure there is a rod at all but if any of you fine educated cluth specialists could fill me in it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Your right. There is a rod associated with the pedal assembly. It would not come with the master cylinder.

The actuator rod and other associated hardware for the pedal assembly might be found at a wrecking yard. just unbolt the whole thing and bolt it into your car.

Definitely get a new master cylinder, slave cylinder, and hydraulic line.

I assume you won't hook up the "safety switch" that prevents you starting the car with the clutch out.
