Question clutch pedal adjustment

I just tried to adjust the clutch pedal heigth because the clutch pedal freeplay needed to be adjusted. What I couldn't figure out was just how thick the carpet is in that area so that I could do the proper adjustment?? I also want to check the brake pedal height so this would help out alot, thanks in advance for all the help.

Check out the Factory Service Manual(FSM)

I think the clutch is supposed to have about a centimeter of travel before you feel reistance.

Where it engages is dependant on you. Generally your supposed to have it fully disengaged by the time you have the pedal 1/2 to 2/3 the way to the floor.

Hehe, I learned all this last week when the damn Clutch mechanics fucked up the job. I've been 88 GTU'less for 2 weeks so far and still goin.

the FSM definetly has that info. I want to say 8 1/2 inches but I'm not positive about that.
