clutch line bubble/melting?

Unhappy clutch line bubble/melting?

Ok, so heres whats going on.. I bought this stainless steel pvc coated clutch line and for the first few weeks, it worked fine.. then it sprung a leak and drained in the pvc, creating a rather large bubble... I sent it back and got a new one as it was on warrenty. so, a few weeks after installing the new one, the same thing happens again.. Should I just be done with the stainless version, or get an new oem one?

How are you installing them? You have to be careful not to twist or kink it too much or the internals will weaken. I remember that one end has a fitting that doesn't spin freely, install that side first.

First time, corksport installed it, the next time i did everything myself... it went in easy, and didnt twist, kink the line at all.. I was thinking that the heat from the engine bay was starting to melt the pvc, and the fluid was seeping thru the stainless/rubber braid at the connector... I'm getting a little frusterated that this 'high quality' part has failed twice now...

One of the things that i've noticed before and after any clutchwork, that on rare occations, the clutch would depress way too easily, almost like there was hardly any fluid in the system. I have double checked everything- no air bubles and no leaks... I've since then upgraded the tranny (and clutch) to turbo II components. So i've had this happen with both NA clutch cylinder, and turbo clutch cylinder... would this be a faulty cylinder, or perhaps something else?

Do you still have the ground wire from the firewall to the engine?

I have to look, but I believe its still there. Since my cars now out of comission at the moment, perhaps I should make sure the motor is properly grounded... -althou I've never really had much of an issue with the 3800rpm hesitation...
