lots of ziplock bags and a nice sharpie, a digi cam if you havent done it before. double check EVERYTHING after you put it all back together

I just got done putting my car back together tonight after i blew the trans...its easy, easier than most cars actually....you might want to get a U joint to add to your socket collection if you dont have one already, they are quite handy for some of the stuff...slave cylinder bolts, the top passenger side tranny bolt

thats all i can think of, im really tired right now....lol

Have a game plan on how to remove the pilot bearing, as everything else is pretty straight forward on a 16 plus year old vehicle. Check if shifter bushings need replacement, and remember to tilt the back of the engine down when installing the trans.

if you've got impact tools, a universal joint with extensions helps a lot with the tranny bolts.

Well im not sure if this is the right topic, but while i was at Mazdatrix the other week trying to fix my oil pressure gauge, it turns out the previous mechanic (i didnt own the car at the time) who had replaced my clutch had "clamped" a specific object which then burnt out my gauge.

I know this really isnt detailed, nor does it help. But i suppose just look out for things that might relate to the oil pressure gauge.

Well, just thought id mention it because I was told that was the cause of my fried gauge. Anyways, good luck!
