clutch install problem
alright since this is my first time hands on with rx7s i need help with my clutch we are putting it on as i speak but theres a gap between the pressure plate and the flywheel where the pegs are that it wont sit flush with it is that normal? or bad...i have no idea if it is or not my haynes shows it sitting flush with the flywheel but it is bolted on.. will it go down once i bolt it in or what. i wanna know before i go tighening down the bolts that i have it right and it wont bend my pressure plate.
i can get pictures if i need to

You need to crank the bolts down. The pressure plate is sprung and holds pressure on the clutch disk when bolted down. The P Plate can't put pressure on the clutch until you preload it by bolting it down.
Make sure you're not doing what I accidentally did. I was putting my clutch back on and it didn't seem to be fitting correctly, then I realized that I was trying to put the clutch on backwards, turned it around and it fit a lot more flush than it did before.

At this point you have two options.
1. Put up a WTB add on the for sale section and get 6 bolts. Ensure that they are from an N/A. Ensure they come with the correct washers.
2. Go to a Mazda Dealer and get new bolts and washers.
Next time buy a box of sandwich baggies and a sharpie.

Good ole cross threading. Just grab another one on the forums get it resurfaced and replace it. This time, wiggle the pressure plate flush, its an extremely close tolerance fit. DON'T force it. Then tighten the bolts hand tight if you're not sure where the "tapered" ones go. Oh and make sure you're using the spline tool.
