Couple of tips...

If you drop the tranny, keep the back end level or you're going to dump a lot of trans fluid out the tail shaft!

When installing the clutch disc and pressure plate, get a clutch alignment tool.&nbsp It's a 1" x 23 (spline) spec, and the local auto parts stores should have them in stock, <$5 for a plastic tool that'll save you a lot of headaches.

The fun part is putting the transmission back in.

You definitely need to get a shop manual.
Shifter from inside. Unscrew ****, pull up console lid, unbolt shifter. You will need a jack under the engine because you'll be removing the trans crossmember which has the rear mount attached. Exhaust needs to come down. Starter, clutch slave cyl & rod. Install new pilot brg and seal, and throwout brg with new clutch/pp. You'll need a "puller" to get the pilot brg out, and a clutch alignment tool makes the job a lot easier.
Above is simplified, but take your time and good luck.

If you have never done it before you better set asside a full day to be safe. I have installed 2 ACT clutches in the past and both of them came with the allignment tool TED was talking about ... be sure to use it, but you should get one in the kit. If you can't get your hands on a pilot bearing puller .. do a search on here about it .. there is a couple ingenius ideas that include using corks and paper to get those things out. The hardest part by far is lining the tranny back up .. but its not really that hard. Take your time .. get another person to help with the tranny if you can ... and if you have questions ... ask them.

On a related question, I know (crusader 9x - pay attention) that you will need a front tranny cover seal. But what about the rear seal? Where does that go, and do you need it for a clutch job?
