Not true. My 89GXL had a stock replacement in and guess what. I was chirping 2nd gear with a bonez race pipe and bonez filter... After it wore out I replaced it with a standard RP clutch and it sliped on high rpms bAD. By that time though I had 160rwp stock ports. So I thought I needed a flywheel. So I bought a new one and it still sliped. So then I bought the street strip RB (exedy) clutch and I have not drove it yet but the clutch pedal does feel light...After instaling the tranz Im expieriencing not being able to shift wile car is moving or car is idling.

I would say that it would be a problem with the shitty clutch.... but.. when i put the rp standard clutch in... my car was stock.. and the clutch is ment to hold 10 percent more than stock... and i doubt my car has that in it now...

quick question, kind of off subject, but when you replace the clutch is it necessary to take off the flywheel like the FSM says? if the fly wheel is fine can't you just leave it on there? i've never replaced a clutch before, so i don't know, but i'm planning on trying once i can afford one.

Yes you can leave flywheel alone if ok. Just clean residue off, I use brake clean, and hit it with very fine emory paper and clean again, and ready to go. Don't forget to replace pilot bearing and seal.

I just replaced my clutch with the Exedey oem replacement. It was $115 for clutch, PP, TOB, and pilot bearing. The pedal does feel much lighter than stock but it does not slip. I have done 2 solo2 autoX's with no problem.
I read somewhere on here that the Flywheel should never be cut down. I just took a surface grinder and took the shine out of the face of the flywheel.
I would say your hydraulics are not causing the clutch to slip.
Maybe you have the TOB in wrong and its not releasing all the way.
my 2 cents

My buddy has a welder, so he welded a bolt on the inside of the race of the pilot bearing. Then we just pulled it out with some big pliers.
