I need help with the proper hose to purchase. I recently had some trouble with my clutch fluid leaking and my clutch pedal sticking. To fix this I replaced the slave and master cylinder and the bottom hose and I'm still losing fluid. It seems to be coming from the top hose that runs from the master cylinder to the top of the tranny Has anyone else had this happen? Anyway the only hose that I can find is the slave cylinder hose like the one at Mazdatrix. My question is are the hoses the same and if not where can I get the top hose?

 

The one coming from the Master cylinder should be a hard line, like steel tubing. It attaches to the hose that goes to the slave cylinder. I don't know where you would get one if Mazdatrix or Mazda doesn't have them. You could try a used one, or you could look into getting one made at a machine shop or hydraulic shop that does pipe bending.

 

Not the hard line. I've got a clamp that holds the hard line to a mesh braided line that seems to be leaking.

 

The flexible line is a fitted line, not clamped line, and is the only one available to replace.
